From a distance, the mountain colors are brilliant;
Close by, the sound of water disappears.

Seen far away, the mountains reveal their full splendor; near by a fast running stream, one becomes immersed in the sound. In order to enjoy Buddha-nature, we need the right, appropriate perspective. The lines across Fuji represent both clouds and water, and the brushwork is powerful and bright.
